Weekly Mosaic Classes

Weekly Mosaic Classes are now offered four times a week at my Beverly Hills mosaic studio, centrally located in Los Angeles. You can register for one class or a series of classes. They do not need to be consecutive or for the same weekly class time.

In this mosaic class, you can choose your own mosaic project and work at your own pace. No experience is necessary, and since you will be working on your own unique mosaic project It is suitable for all levels from beginning to advanced mosaicists.

If you're a beginner, your first session will begin with the basics: learning about and how to use tools, how to cut glass and the basics of mosaic design. If you're advanced, you can dive right into your project or learn new techniques to advance your work.

Current Weekly Mosaic Class Times:

Wednesday Evenings 6 P.M. - 9 P.M.
Thursday Mornings 10 A.M. - 1 P.M.
Thursday Afternoons 2 P.M. - 5 P.M.
Saturday Afternoons 1 P.M. - 4 P.M.

Important information:

  • If the class is full, it will be listed as out of stock.
  • You will be sent class information and directions shortly after registering.
  • Mosaic Course Costs

The course is $45 per 3 hour class. Everyone works at a different speed, so some students finish the tiling portion of a project in one session, others spend months on a project either because of size or precision. Because of this I cannot estimate how many sessions you will need to complete your project. There is no weekly obligation, so you can decide if you would like to enroll in the class for one project or multiple projects. If you have supplies and space, you are also welcome to take your project home to work on in-between sessions.

For every project you begin, there is a $10 project fee to cover adhesives, grout, etc.

I have products available for purchase, but you are welcome to bring your own supplies. If you chose to buy from me, here is a cost list:

  • Vitreous Glass - $2.50 for 25 pieces (covers 16 square inches uncut with no groutlines)
  • Designer Glass (mostly Sicis) - $3.50 for 25 pieces (covers 9 square inches uncut with no groutlines)
  • Stained Glass and specialty items - prices are variable
  • Wood substrates - $5-20 depending on size
  • Picture frames - I have small wooden picture frames perfect for first projects for $5
  • Glass vases - $4-20 Any glass you use to learn new techniques is already included in the project fee, there is no additional cost.

You can pay for project fees and/or supplies on the day of class by cash, check or credit card.
