Accordion Photography/Haiku Books

Kids Educational Art Project sponsored by Arts in Stark | Cardstock, cardboard, metallic photos, embellishments | 5” x 7” x 1/2” each

The 5th graders from St. Peters created their own accordion books by folding and attaching paper to ends of cardboard. They chose how they wanted their book to look by choosing cardstock to cover the cardboard and ribbon and beads to tie the book together. They took pictures and curated them into a theme, then wrote a haiku for each photograph. They put a lot of thought into their books and were really proud! When they were done, the teacher invited their parents to come view the books and the students each read a couple of their haikus to the parents. There is a video of the event at the bottom of this page.
